Great food and nice place to eat in. There was a queue to get seated, but in the end we didn't have to wait long. The half and half was excellent. Salmon goujons were alright.
Had a lovely Plaice Meal here yesterday. A lot of chippies over cook plaice as the fillet is very thin but this one was still lovely and tender.
Lovely sized portion of fish and chips, and a really good price - 9 quid for fish, chips, side (beans, peas, curry) and bread and butter. Nice restaurant setting. Unfortunately, despite how nice the food was, the experience was spoiled by the attitude of one of the waiting staff, hardly spoke, didn't say please, thank you, no interaction with customers, tables weren't set ready for eating. We weren't the only ones to mention this. Good fish and chips are readily available from a number of shops - customer service will set you apart from the competition, and unfortunately this was a negative.
Best cod & chips I've ever had. Probably visit more often than I should. Always freshly cooked and the portions are big.
Called there on Saturday ordered 2 fish to take out. They were top quality, nice big piece of fish well cooked in a lovely batter. Whilst waiting for our order we saw some of the plates prepared for eating in they looked very nice. Next time we are in the area we will call in again. Well worth the short detour off the A19 + plenty of free parking close by.
