They need to speed up at the checkout counters as they have become notably slower over the last few months..Not a Superstore by any means as they do not have as much as nearby Peterlee or Grangetown..No deli & a rotisserie that is not manned ...2.5* would be right and no just do my shopping here when i need something,but better than Peterlee
Handy to have in Seaham and you can get pretty much everything you need food related. Home department DVDs, music, tabs, chemist's, clothes and a caf upstairs.I've got a few gripes about the place though- the layout is poor and it's very crammed inside.The entrance/exit scenario is a complete joke. You have people going in the exit to get to the meal deal section and tab buyers coming out of entrance all mixed with people standing around talking. It seems to confuse people to the point where they feel they need to come to a complete standstill once they set foot in the shop. It's a frustrating experience when you visit regularly and a reason I avoid going, even if it sounds very trivial.Also, I have to agree with a fellow reviewer regarding the cooked meat situation. The ham to roast beef ratio is simply too high.

Amazing service and good food what more does a man need
Anyone noticed the amount of ham on the cooked meat section.Absolutely loads of different hams and one scabby pack of beef with 3 or 4 slices in. Asked a manager why so much ham and nothing much else she said there was a survey done and that's what people want. After having to throw 50 worth of shopping away due to short use by dates I spoke to customer relations about it and they sent me 15 voucher so if you encounter the same problem as me give them a call they will soon buck their ideas up if they are shelling out money on unhappy customers at this dire store.
